About

This is a blog about truly healthy weight loss. I fell off the wagon so I'm trying to innovative about getting back on. Also I noticed a huge amount of unhealthy (pro-ana types) weight loss blogs, so I thought I'd try to counter-act that with a healthy one. I'm here for any questions you may have :).

I know my goal's dates are a little strange, they don't go in any type of order but they're just dates that are important to me, ultimately I'm trying to lose about 2 pounds a week until my ultimate goal weight.

If this is true, it honestly makes sense. When I eat junk food in large doses..for days I’m starving all the time.

I read that it takes 3 days for your appetite to go back to normal. Three days!!!

OMG I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START with this. this kind of posts make me so mad, because they don’t even know what are they talking about.
1/2 a kiwi isn’t 10 calories. It’s about 20 to 30 depending on the size.
1/2 a papaya CAN’T BE 40 cal. It would be like a mini tiny papaya, and those things are kind of big. 1CUP OF PAPAYA is about 55 calories.
And last but not least……  A FREAKING SIMPLE PLAIN FAT-FREE SUGAR FREE MUFFIN CAN’T… JUST CAN’T BE 760 CALORIES. Just let me put this straight…. usually to make about 20-22 muffins you use 2 cups of flour. ONE CUP OF FLOUR IS ABOUT 450 CALORIES. This is suposed to be a fat- free muffin right? this means they were baked with a fat substitute, and the most common used is unsweetened applesauce. Apple sauce is about 100 cal per cup. In one of this recipes you use about 1 cup. Even though, lets guess you use about 1/2 cup of canola oil it would be 924 cal . If this is a sugar-free muffin, you use sweetener wich is 0 calories. Lets guess they use a couple of tsp of vanilla estract (12 cal each), some baking pwder and baking soda (o cal), salt, and 1/2 tsp cinnamon (about 6 cal or less). Then, 1 whole egg and 2 egg whites (70 cal whole egg and 17 cal each egg white) Besides they probably add milk right? 1 cup of skimmed milk is about 90 cal. Now… lets do the math.
+2 cups flour 900 cal
+1 cup apple sauce 100 cal
+ 1/2 cup canola oil 964 cal
+1 cup skimmed milk 90 cal
+vanilla 24 cal
+cinnamon 6 cal
+1 egg 70 cal
+2 egg whites 54 cal
—————————
2188 calories
Now, divided between the 20 muffins thats: 109.4 calories
NOTE THAT THIS IS A REGULAR COMMON RECIPE FOR A PLAIN FAT-FREE SUGAR-FREE VANILLA MUFFIN. even if you add chopped fruits, or nuts, or cocoa powder to them, or even change substitute sweetener for sugar IS TECNICALLY IMPOSIBLE THAT THEY REACH 720 calories.
HOWEVER, IF YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT A COMERCIAL, TRANS FATTED, SUGARED AND FULL OF ADDITIVES MUFFIN… thats another story.
YOU DON’T NEED TO STOP EATING WHAT YOU LIKE TO BE HEALTHY AND TO LOSE WEIGHT. YOU CAN HAVE A FAT-FREE SUGAR-FREE muffin. IS NOT LIKE YOU’RE GONNA GAIN 10 POUNDS… you won’t gain anything.
